Parry Sound Atom Local League 1 played the Huntsville McDonalds team on Saturday in Parry Sound at the Bobby Orr Community Centre
The game was a tight defensive game for both teams. Each team not letting/getting many chances. Late in the first the Shamrocks worked to get a couple chances to steal the lead but a strong Huntsville goalie kept the game tied.
Half way through the second, Hunstville brook free and despite Wyatt Lerbert getting piece of the shot, scored the games first goal.
Another mistake by the Shamrocks early in the third ended in the Shamrock net, giving Huntsville a two goal lead. The Shamrocks began to put on the pressure after many big saves by goalie Ethan Penfold... Carson Healey berried a wrist shot in the lower left corner to cut the lead to one, with assisted going to Simon Norton and Riley MacLean. The last two minutes of the game was spent in the offensive zone with the Shamrocks getting several chances. With only 6 seconds remaining Wyatt Salt stepped in off the blue line and let a shot go, but the puck was tipped wide. The game ended 2-1 for Huntsville, however much of the game was controlled by the Shamrocks, a strong effort against Hunstville who haven't lost this season.

The Shamrocks play their next game this Saturday at 6:45pm at the Bobby Orr Community Centre vs Almaguin Ice Devils right after the Santa Clause parade which is scheduled from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.
