Parry Sound Local League Atom 1 travelled to Huntsville to place the 1st place Huntsville Little Caesars.
This would be the first meeting for these two teams. Little Caesars is currently holding 1st place with 25 points and Parry Sound Atom 1 with 14 points, currently in 5th.
The game started on the Olympic Sized rink and the players all noticed the different right away as it took a few shifts for them to get their second wind. Huntsville opened the scoring in the second period but not after many chances by the pressuring Shamrocks. Chad Herbert tied the game and late in the period with an unassisted goal. Huntsville and Parry Sound each scored another (Herbert again with another unassisted goal) before the Shamrocks we finally able to get the lead, Chad Herbert completing the hat trick with a 3rd unassisted goal.
Parry Sound played a very strong game missing on many other chances and should have came out with a victory however with 5 seconds remaining, after a questionable penalty and a quicker then usual puck drop cault Parry Sound off guard and Little Caesars where able to score to tie the game saving themselves from their first loss of the season.
The Shamrocks are now well aware that they can beat any team in their league, despite there current place in the standings.

Next game will again be in Huntsville against the 2nd place team, Huntsville McDonald's. Currently they have only lost one game. The last meeting between these two was controlled by the Shamrocks but we lost 2-1 in a very tight game.
