Great game in Bracebridge
The Parry Sound Local League 1 team traveled to Bracebridge on Saturday to play South Muskoka Fitzmaurice Bros.

This being the 2nd meeting of these two team, Parry Sound winning easily at the beginning of the season 9-3.  The message to the team before the game was this team has improved!

The first period was proof as Parry Sound was moving the puck very well limiting South Muskoka puck possession time.  Parry Sound had a few chances but were not able to capitalize due to a much different Bears team!

In the second, the Shamrock hemmed the Bears into their defensive zone, Oliver Collins passed the puck to an open Derian Smith who broke into the slot and scored the games first goal, giving the Shamrocks the lead.

With a 1-0 lead going into the third period the Shamrocks played strong defensively and in well in the neutral zone limiting the Bears to any quality scoring chances.  Then off a centre ice face off, Cooper Mahon pushed his way through three defenders and lost a puck battle eith the fourth defender, however the loose puck landed on the stick of an open Wyatt Salt who made no mistake scoring the insurance goal near the half way mark of the third.

The game ended in a 2-0 win for the Shamrocks, out shooting the Bears 21-6.  This win, combined with Parry Sound Atom Local League 2 team losing and Huntsville McDonalds also losing, bumped the Local League 1 team into third place behind Hunstville Little Caesars and Huntsville Tasso Lake.
