Elmvale prove to strong for the Shamrocks
The Optimist Club Novices played their second game of the season against the Elmvale Coyotes on Sunday afternoon

The Shamrocks skated hard for parts of the first and second periods against the Coyotes but had many struggles controlling the puck, turning the puck over in the neutral zone many time.  Despite the strong effort  by the Shamrocks, the Coyotes simply controlled the play with strong puck control and puck movement and the Shamrocks could not contain them.
The Shamrocks were able to get the first shot early in the first period, but it was the Coyotes who were able to get on the scoreboard first.  They added three more to end the first period with a 4-0 lead.
The second period the Shamrocks seemed to play a little more defensive, they had the Coyotes on their heals a bit with both Avery Rochon & Evan Villeneuve each getting good chances.  The Coyotes out shot the Shamrocks 15-6 after the first two periods.
The third period the Coyotes brought the score up to 8 goals, and added 17 more shots on Bram Palmer to end the game at 8-0, out shooting the Shamrocks 32-6.

The next game is this weekend in Gravenhurst against the South Muskoka Bears on Saturday @12noon, and then back in Parry Sound against the Hunstville Otters on Sunday @1pm.
