Parry Sound 1 vs Parry Sound 2
The two local league teams from Parry Sound played an exciting game against each other on Saturday at the Bobby Orr Community Centre.
The game started of catching Team #1 by surprise with two quick goals from Wyatt Norrie and Elliot Tabobundung, assists going to Tabobundung, Eric Zolby and Tim Lashbrook. Team #2 added another unassisted goal from Randy Evanush at 7:14 to go in the 1st
Team #1 held their ground and quickly score three to climb back into the game with goal by Chad Herbert assisted by Oliver Collins and Mackinnley Mann. The other two goals were unassisted by Carson Healey and Riley MacLean.
With the game tied at 3 Team #2 again scored two goals quick at the end of the first to finish the 1st with a 5-3 lead. Goals by Norrie and Aidan Cowan, lone assist going to Evanush.
The two teams played a scoreless second period although Team #1 had many changes, goalie Kadyn Lashbrook was the difference not allowing any shots past.
In the third Jayden Rutledge scored an unassisted goal to put Team #2 to a three goal lead.
Team #1 fought back hard and had many changes. Scoring to quick goals, both by Herbert, but both goals were created by two very nice assists coming from Cooper Mahon and Oliver Collins.
Team #1 pulled their goalie with a minute to play in the game but didn't couldnt beat goalie Kadyn Lashbrook or the defence from Team #2.
It was an exiting game, fun was had by all!
Next game for Local League Team #1 travelles to Baysville on Halloween for a 1pm game against Hunstville Tasso Lake, Team #2 is at home against Hunstville Little Caesar's.
