Hello Everyone!
I would like to personally welcome you and your child to the Parry Sound Local League teams. Thanks for your patience waiting for us coaches to get organized! I think we have squared away the two local league teams at the Atom Level.
There are two teams but all coaches will be working together to make this year a success. The Local League was new to Parry Sound Hockey Club last year - and we hope to build on that success.
Firstly I would like to pass on the names of the coaches for the two teams

We as coaches will be asking others to help out both on the ice and on the bench. The more help the better.
To get on the ice/bench you will need the minimum of.
1. Online Respect in Sport (RIS) Certification, http://parrysoundhockeyclub.com/Pages/1823/Respect_in_Hockey/
2. Criminal Record Check Vulnerable Sector Applicants, http://parrysoundhockeyclub.com/Pages/1314/Police_Checks_%28VSS%29/
You may also wish to take the online trainers course or get your coaching certification. Please ask us if you are interested in those.
The two local league teams are made up from players from the four JRL house league teams. We tried to group Atom1 LL team from Parry Sound Auto Parts (Red) & Harry's No Frills (Blue) and the Atom2 LL team from Gibson Home and Cottage (Green) & McNabb Home Building Centre (Black). There are some exceptions in order to group friends/family/cousins etc to ease on the amount of travelling for families. Grouping the teams this way also will help to ease possible scheduling conflicts with the Local League and House League.
There will be a shared practice at 9am this Saturday at the Bobby Orr Community Centre for Parry Sound Auto Parts and Gibson Home and Cottage teams. At 1pm Atom1 LL will travel to Burks Falls to play the Almaguin Ice Devils. Please players from Parry Sound Auto Parts, if you can still make you practice at 9am please do.
We hope to take on a few Local League Practice times as well, but they have not been scheduled to date. Please continue to watch your teams page on the website
