The
Muskoka Parry Sound Championships is a weekend playoff in a tournament format, which is to strictly
decide the Muskoka Parry Sound league “champion’ for the year. Any
tournament would be great to win, but this is not the big fish so to
speak.
The
OMHA Playdowns (All Ontario Championship) however, are broken down into different playoff series
much like an NHL format (except Novice are best 2 out of 3 or first to 4
points). As each series is complete, the winning team moves on to face
the winner of another series until an OMHA Champion is decided. This is
the championship that each team ultimately works for, and the winner
receives the banner every team wants to hang in their respective home
rink the following year.
