On Sunday November 30th the ATR U11's were at home hosting the Almaguin Ice Devils #2 squad on a snowy day.
The first period was a back and forth match with Parry Sound getting lots of pucks to the net. Hudson French was able to beat the Almaguin tender for his first ever goal! Assists went to Caroline Tabobandung and Connor Kennedy.
The second saw more of the same action as Oliver Adams kept the wall up stopping everything he saw while the rest of the team kept the pressure on the Ice Devils. Connor was able to get a breakaway and some pretty sweet dangles and rifled another one in for ATR. Another first goal and it was unassisted. Heading into the third up 2-0, the team was feeling good.
The trend was set and Parry Sound was in the grove keeping the pedal down. Andy Morgan was able to increase the lead to 3-0 on another unassisted goal. Olly took over as the clock wound down for his first ever shutout!
The whole team played really well, keeping the pressure on the majority of the game. With two first goals and a first shutout, the player of the game could have gone to a number of kids. However the first shutout trumped in the end and Olly got player of the game. He did great on first shots and controlling the rebounds not giving the Ice Devils much opportunity to get on the board.
ATR is back at home on Friday night to host Huntsville Team Lake Life Remax at 6:00pm.
