On Saturday November 15th, Parry Sound’s ATR Fireplace welcomed South Muskoka’s Grey. South Muskoka opened the scoring with 3 goals before Emmett Madigan could get Parry Sound on the board with help from Lennox Baker. Heading into the second period 3-1, both teams traded a goal with Emmett netting his second of the game with an assist by Thomas Swanson and Finn Power.
The third period saw more action with South Muskoka scoring 10 seconds in and Brynn St.Amant brought the deficit back to 2 with her line mates Hunter Upton and Finn Power getting the assist. South Muskoka came back strong with 3 goals. With a quick call to Toronto to confirm the puck crossed the line before the time expired Brynn got her second goal of the campaign with an assist from Hunter Upton and Blake Tabobondung-Williams. Unfortunately the team came up short in a 7-4 loss. ATR Fireplace is now gaining confidence, getting more offence and looks to take that confidence into this weekend’s Bob Beaumont tournament.
This week's player of the game went to number 15 Owyn Kowaluk for his exemplary defensive skills. Putting his body on the line and blocking shots!
