Shamrock's U11 ATR Fireplace kicks off Season in Bracebridge
The Shamrock's U11 ATR travelled to Bracebridge to faceoff against South Muskoka in the new Muskoka Lumber Community Centre.

Shamrock's U11 ATR Fireplace had a strong game but fell short of getting the win by losing 3-1 to the home team South Muskoka Bears AtoMc Black.  ATR showed some strong skills and battled hard during the game with many scoring chances and good plays.  Unfortunately, a few players were coming off of the flu, colds and coughs and they couldn't find enough to push them to a win.

South Muskoka, opened the scoring early and added another in the first to take a 2-0 lead.  The second saw some big pushes by Parry Sound but they couldn't beat the Muskoka goalie.  Etmanskie, Leduc, and Blacksky had several big rushes, while their teammates also saw some excellent scoring chances.  Unfortunately, Muskoka took a 3-0 lead 4 minutes into the third before Parry Sound finally solved the goalie when Jacklin put ATR on the board with a shorthanded goal assisted by McLlwain and Lavier.  Jacklin's goal seemed to spark the Shamrocks as they dominated the play for the remainder of the game.

The team can be proud of how well they played and how hard they worked.  Goaltending for the shamrocks was outstanding and the team skated hard.  The players were passing the puck around and they did a good job at getting back to help defensively.  The Defense did a good job keeping the play to the outside in their end and moved the puck well when transitioning from defense to offense.  The forwards played good positional hockey and put strong pressure on Muskoka defense.
