Off to the Semi Finals
The Hall Construction Pee Wee Shamrocks are moving on to the Ontario Minor Hockey Association All Ontario Semi-Finals after defeating the Durham Crusaders 3 games to 1. The Hall Construction Shamrocks travelled to Durham on Friday February 3 to start their series. Although the team did not get the start they wanted in game 1 falling 2-1 they would not be denied in game 2 on Saturday February 4. A total team effort secured a 4-2 win for the Hall Construction Shamrocks with the next two games at the BOCC. Game 3 on Friday February 10 saw the Hall Construction Shamrocks skate to a 6-4 win with another solid team effort.
Game 4 on Saturday February 11 saw a determined Durham team come out of the gate quick scoring the opening goal. A relentless forecheck and a never quit attitude allowed the Hall Construction Shamrocks to even the scoring before the end of the first period. Following the game plan and staying focused allowed the team to skate to a 3-1 lead at the end of the second period. The third period saw the Hall Construction Shamrocks play tight defensively not giving up many opportunities and keeping the majority of the play in the Durham end. When the final buzzer sounded the Hall Construction Shamrocks defeated the Durham Crusaders 5-2 securing a spot in the OMHA Final 4. The players and coaching staff would like to thank all the parents and fans for their support. The Hall Construction Shamrocks now wait for the winner of Bancroft and Campbellford.
