Sound Minor Hockey is now recruiting referees of all experience levels for
the upcoming hockey season!

you're a current or former player, a hockey parent, or someone who simply loves
the game, officiating is a fantastic way to stay involved in hockey, in the
community, and learn about the game while developing valuable skills.

OMHA Referee Requirements
As a member association under the Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA), all officials must meet standard certification requirements:
- Must be at least 14 years old (as of December 31 of the current season)
- Must complete the required OMHA Officiating Clinic (registration in July)
Clinic dates and registration details will be shared with interested individuals as soon as they become available.
Who Should Apply?
We are looking for:
- Current and former players
- Individuals interested in giving back to the game and getting involved in the community
- Individuals who are responsible, confident, and eager to learn
- Anyone interested in officiating hockey with a good ability to skate.
No prior officiating experience is required — training is provided!
