Hockey This Weekend
Submitted By executive on Wednesday, October 14, 2020

Please read the following information very carefully for this weekend and beyond.

Thank you all for your patience in us in preparing for this season - we are navigating through all necessary steps to get the kids back on the ice ASAP.

Schedule is posted here

Please note:
Tonight's coaching clinic, Wed Oct 14th @7pm @Bobby Orr Community Centre is nearing capacity (max people on the BOCC is 24 people).  If you have not RSVP'ed, you are welcome to show up however, if it is full then there will be a second clinic on Sunday Oct 18 @4pm.  Please RRSVP for that clinic.

Coaches have not been assigned to teams yet, and therefore teams have not been assigned.  We have scheduled ice this weekend for the kids split up by last name to ensure we are meeting the Town of Parry Sound's requirements of a maximum of 24 on the ice surface at one time.
**Important - do not come to the arena during a time you are not scheduled for....this has been placed differently by each division based on your child's last name...... We need to be careful not to go over the number of occupants that the town/arena will allow on the ice surface.

Schedule Here

This season brings with it many logistical challenges. As a club, we cannot afford members not following the rules as they have been set out by the Province, Health Unit, the Town, Hockey Canada, the OMHA and the Hockey Club. Therefore, there will be very little tolerance for any infractions of these rules. Players, spectators and staff will be warned once if they are deemed in violation of any rules. After that they will be banned indefinitely from the arena and subject to a review from the hockey club board as to what further actions may need to be taken. This needs to be taken very seriously.

Please review the Parry Sound Hockey Club's Return to Play Page:
*** You must fill out the Assumption of Risk Waiver found in the link below prior to coming to the arena:
We understand that this is a lot of information and a quick turnaround time before we hit the ice. There is a great deal of responsibility being placed on parents, coaches, board members and players to ensure that this hockey season runs smoothly. We have to support one another and make smart decisions in order to successfully have minor hockey in Parry Sound this season. We cannot wait to see you at the rink! Go Shamrocks!
