Registration & Season Update:
As a board we have been working very hard in the time frame presented to us.  We have put together some plans to allow for everyone to visualize what this upcoming season is going to look like.

In order to plan for ice times, team sizes, team make up, including the required bubble sizes, we desperately need to know what our registration numbers are going to look like for this season.  We need to follow the OMHA rules and regulations put before us and one of those rules is that we will need to organize and fit our all players into bubbles of 50 players.

With that in mind, we also need to figure out how many coaches we will need, this of course will also be based on our registration numbers.  We do still have the list of coaches who signed up last season and will be reaching out to all of you shortly.  If you are interested in helping, please let Chris Mahon or Megan Rochon know as soon as you can.

We have been forced to do things differently this season and we as a new Executive have decided to implement some updated costs and deadlines.

The fees are as follows for this COVID year:
Mite (2014, 2015, 2016) free for Sept - Dec and $100 for Jan - March for first-time registrants and $150 for second and third-year players.
Minor novice (2013) $350
Major Novice and above (birth year 2012 and all years prior) $400 until Early Bird cut of date of September 20.  $450 after the early bird until September 28.  The cut off date for all registrations will be September 28th.
*No family discount this year.

Just like in previous years we will be expecting payment before your child steps on the ice.  This is how we know our players will be insured and protected should anything ever happen.

All ready registered, but need to pay the registration fee?

We are working to send an invoice to each family...  e-Transfers will be preferred and can be sent to [email protected] .... For your e-Transfer password, please use the nickname of our hockey club... hint 9 letters.

If an e-Transfer can't work for you, please email [email protected] and arrange a different way of payment.

We will not be accepting cash.  This creates another level of confusion...  If cash is your only option please purchase a money order from your bank and provide that to the treasurer.   For those of you that registered early on and have already made a payment, the balance of that payment will be refunded.

OMHA rules are also in place for refunds if something was to happen in regards to a shut down of services/season etc.  So in the event that the season ends halfway through, we will work towards refunding registration fees.

All registrations after this date (28th) will be put on a waiting list and will only be considered and contacted if spots become available inside our player bubbles.

Just so everyone is aware, As of September 10th we have 160 plus registrations.  And we strongly believe that many are waiting for the details listed in this posting before they register.

We have been in touch with Parry Sound and Seguin and the plan for ice installation at both centers are dates in late September, early October.  We will need to have our bubbles and our plan in place.  This plan also needs to be submitted to the OMHA before we can begin.  We are also working with the arenas to determine what the maximum number of skaters we can have on the ice is.  This number will be a maximum of 25 people to begin with as per OMHA rules and could be lower depending on the rules and  requirements of The Bobby Orr community center and or Seguin.

The board is still in discussions,  but we are hoping for 3 ice times per week for each team, which would include a minimum of 1 game per week.  We are hoping for 4 on 4.  This also depends on the registration numbers and the divisions where the kids are placed.  We are hoping to have shared practices, so two teams on the ice at once.  This will help to allow for collaboration amongst our coaches and loosen some of the responsibility and commitment time for our valued volunteers.  This will also allow for more ice time for the kids.  Lastly, for this season we are planning to play through to March, or at least for as long as ice time permits.

Some other items we are discussing as a club is to have some skill sessions for the kids, including position specific skills...  We are working to have someone to help with coordinating and or helping and supporting coaches.  More on that as we progress into our hockey season.

We are also considering some small tournaments on weekends throughout the season as ice time permits and if we can come up with a plan that follows all the health and safety rules put before us by the OMHA and by the Town of Parry sound and the Township Seguin

This season, as we all are aware by now, will look different and we thank you for your patience.  We will continue to try and step through and deliver the best possible season for our hockey players.
