The Muskoka Parry Sound Local League year end tournament this past weekend was amazing and the kids played their very best, and the results speak for themselves.
There were several times when we were behind and it did seem we had some extra focus from the officials for some reason during that last game, but the kids didn't let it bother them and they worked hard as a team and kept coming back even when they were down a goal or two.
This shows much heart and character and they earned every victory and EVERYONE on the team contributed.
They are a great bunch, the coaching staff is happy that it was the other team who picked the player of the game since there is no way I could have possibly picked just one player out of our amazing team.
They all deserved it and we are glad their efforts were rewarded.
I also want to say how much I have appreciated the enthusiastic and solid support of our parents throughout the season. We have had such a happy year and I am sure I speak on behalf of the whole coaching group when I say that knowing that the parents were supporting the kids and our efforts on the bench makes a world of difference.
It has been a great season and it was a great weekend and all of you should be justifiably proud of your little hockey players.
