Shamrocks tie the Muskoka Rock
The Optimist Club Novices traveled to Humphrey to play the fourth game of the season against the Muskoka Rock
These two teams are very evenly matched, both have excelled goal tenders and both teams have the capability of winning...and the games have all been very exciting!
The first period the Rock was able to get on the board first off a breakaway that seemed to squeeze by goalie Bram Palmer and trickle in.
The second period was scoreless but the third the Shamrock's pinned the Rock in their defensive zone for most of the period with the Rock goalie Nathan Hunter turning aside chance after chance. However, finally Avery Rochon drove to the net and made a move to break the shut-out and tie the game very late into the period. Assists going to Nicholas Gray and Delana Baker. The Shamrock's had a couple more shots before the end of the game with no luck, ending the game in a tie.
Shamrock's out shot the Rock 27-10.
Stats from the four games put the Shamrocks at 1-2-1 with 6 goals for and 6 goals against with 102 shots for and 62 shots against.
Next game is on Thursday December 10 in MacTier again against the Muskoka Rock.
