Game against the Elmvale Coyotes
The Optimist Club Novices traveled to Elmvale to face off against the Coyotes for their first game of the season.
The Coyotes got on the score sheet first on a shot that went of Shamrocks goalie Bram Palmer's helmet. The first period was mostly spent in the Shamrock's zone. The Coyotes team was mostly made up of second year kids born in 2007 and it showed. They moved the puck better and played as a team to control most of the game. The Shamrocks were able to sneak in two goals, both off of neutral zone turn overs, and both scored by Avery Rochon.
Final score was 7-2, Coyotes out shot the Shamrocks 31-5, Bram Palmer seeing a lot of rubber again!
Next game is in the Red and White tournament in Schomberg against the Honeywood Hurricans.
